I accidentally deleted the first paragraphs of this essay. All that’s left is the one below and it may be a good enough starting point.
This is a time for taking a very close look at what direction the world is headed in. Putin would enjoy a world war; it may seem to him like his only position to take. After all, he is still quite comfortable in his bed of lies and savagery; he is indeed a war criminal.
I am spending this weekend cleaning house while Ukraine fights for its very life. Putin has caused the uprooting of Ukraine’s women and children while the men stay home to fight against a Russian takeover. This is not a just war but a demonic one. The people of Ukraine are innocent while they watch their home being blasted into bits of rubble.
Our country is in need of its own housecleaning. I heard Dr. Oz spout lies and bigotry about Joe Biden. He has now become just another lying cheating Republican. Trump seemingly stands, no thanks to Alvin Bragg who has declined to put Trump on trial for not paying taxes.
We, none of us, know if there will be an official Third World War. We do know that things will never be the same in Ukraine. And if Trump should remain free, we may see America become just another country run by a puppet government. And it ain’t Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood in the U.S.A. right now.
No one can convince anyone else of what is right or wrong; it is up to each individual to stand behind the truth as they see it.
The time for the mind is over; it is now the heart’s turn to mourn for the loss of freedom in Ukraine and elsewhere (and we are citizens of Elsewhere. Let us say a little prayer for its residents!

Oh, this was such a fine examination of the shaky ground that every human stands on at this moment. As hatred ramps up, so do tension and anxiety. There is so much on this old world’s plate right now, it’s dripping over the edge. From the climate crisis, to wars, to famine and pestilence. And most detrimentally, the absence of truth in all it’s forms; such as the decline of real justice and accountability. Fear is at the root of all the imbalance. When we live in love there is no fear.
Thanks dear Vicki for shining a light.
Namaste,
Tami
Here is another “Elsewhere.”

Elsewhere is Everywhere (a better title for this essay). Yes, dear Tami, there is no easy exit from the war on Ukraine, or the fires and floods of climate change, or the dumbing down of people all over the globe. It may be too little too late for the masses, although person by person, we will have a chance of being saved from within.
Two nights ago, I finished a novel, ELSEWHERE, by Dean Koontz (written in 2020). In a fantasy/science fiction and suspense novel, he captured the strong possibility of rule by the powerful, greedy (and ignorant, may I add). As the reader, you are rooting for those who want truth and freedom. As you added in your comment, it is only person by person that anyone has a change of being saved by the Truth within himself/herself. God bless and help us — especially the Ukrainians in Ukraine and those who have managed to escape.
Ruth, that is a great synchronicity!
