The world has changed overnight and it will not return to what it used to be. Carnage and death are on the menu and you cannot order a la carte. You have to eat whatever they put on your plate and they are serving poison in every dish.
Oh, you can try eating at home but little food will be found. After the pandemic, we grew used to eating at home, but now home may eventually be polluted.
Gas is already rising to a ridiculous high and Putin gets his high over human suffering and that could prove endless.
Lawrence O’Donnell gave a rousing speech on MSNBC about why America cannot go to war against Russian. That reason: Nuclear war. I need not go any further than that.
The anguish is already intolerable and little can be done about it. Putin knows nothing about peace and he hates the United States of America, his main enemy.
What can we who are on the spiritual path do? It is important for us to stay as conscious as possible. Nothing matters more than the spirit of man, for that is what will live on after our human bodies are gone.
You can admire those that are sheltering the homeless and caring for the wounded. But above admiration there is a higher consciousness that is required of a handful of us. It is to honor the teachings of the “I am” awareness.
“I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh to the Father except by me.” Jesus was not speaking of his human life but of his immortal one, which we all can have. But it is bought with a price, your very own individual life. And it is replaced by eternal life.
Do not think that only Jesus spoke of this. Many other enlightened men and women did, the Buddha among them. And we cannot forget this higher consciousness when the world is in agony and little children are being torn out of their childhoods.
There will be martyrs during this war, President Zelensky among them. His love will possibly lead to his death as he leads his country against pure evil.
“And darkness was upon the face of the earth and God said, “Let there be light.” I pray it is not from nuclear explosions.

Thank you, Vicki. For those of us in our generation who remember the horrors we grew up with, the fear of nuclear holocaust and its likelihood, these new developments are painfully familiar but somehow more capable of being manifested in the material world, which would of course then become “immaterial”. Your reminder to stay close to consciousness is the essential teaching for all of us right now.
Thank you, Ken. It has ever been thus—man’s inhumanity to man. We are all mixtures of both darkness and light, but it seems we are entering a new Dark Age of War. Maurice Nicoll was teaching the Work to his students during World War II. “Everything happens in the only way it can happen in life. You have to realize that Man cannot do.”(Nicoll)
Of course the ego does not believe this to be true because it does everything mechanically. The wars fought are mechanical and against life. It is up to each individual to learn to discriminate between wisdom and foolishness. Our own personal insight must include the truth of our being.
It is with such stubborn resistance that we consider giving our meaningless lives as a substitution for the promised eternal lives. But what we gain is immeasurable — it is the universe, the life force, and our infinite home. Thank you for revealing this ever-present hope as the President of Ukraine has been doing for his country men since the start of the Russian invasion. Namaste.
It is only for the few to see this clearly.
