The Ease of Enlightenment

The Ease of Enlightenment

Egos cannot become enlightened beings; all they can do is seek to know God. Once I confess my need for God, enlightenment eases me into a state of deep peace.

I often make fun of enlightenment, especially when people refer to themselves as being in that state. What I mean by enlightenment is simply knowing that the ego’s large foot can never fit into the glass slipper of the truth.

I have been writing on the subject of enlightenment for a few decades now; the subject never grows old. I find my body/mind is being subjected to the aging process, though. I am not bothered by that spiritually; it is my mind that wrestles with the body.

Once I remember that I am not the body/mind, I re-enter the state of true enlightenment and alignment. It is a personal thing guaranteed to me by the Absolute.

I hate people droning on and on about love, peace and all of the goodies the ego tries to gather up into one big bundle. Can’t happen.

By now, you either love me or hate me. That’s okay by me. The truth has set me free from both love and hate.

The battle between good and evil is fought by the ego while the soul witnesses everything that goes on. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose on the worldly playing field. Now me, I am resting on God’s lap and watching the game being played.

  1. My soul knows that it is eternal, and that’s enough for me. And that “I’m” bigger than my whiny ego. Other than instinct, I’ve picked up little clues along the way that this is true. So we soldier on.

Thank you Vicki dear, (I feel better😊)
