What happens to a seeker when the sought is found? I ask myself that question after many years of seeking, while knowing full well that the sought has been found within. What happens is that we forget so easily. The Work (esoteric Christianity) is to remember that we are no longer seekers but finders. Finders keepers, losers weepers, as the old rhyme goes.
The mind will struggle against this knowing continually, for that is its nature. No use blaming it, is there? This just keeps the game in place.
I have not been in the company of seekers for a long time. I have no interest in reading about who I really am, when I can simply be it, thus freeing up the mind from its lifelong chore of “taking care of the world.” A Bible verse says, “Cast all your cares upon Him and He will sustain you. He will not let the righteous fall.” Indeed. It is only the mind and its accompanying emotions that fall. Vernon Howard called the mind the “think trap.” I like that.
I have been bedeviled about a possible downsizing. It was driving me crazy. So I made a decision not to think about moving and I immediately felt better.
If I am a little wordy this morning, it is because I took the first dose of a different pill for my tremors. Right now my blood pressure is low, so I am up before sunrise in order to activate my energy.
Remember me telling you that I had 3 dreams of being pregnant? I am still pondering the meaning of this. If you have any ideas about what that means, leave a Comment.
I consider all of my regular readers my true friends. Thank you for sticking with me; Vicki can be a real trip. Giggle. Oops. Laughter is the best medicine, indeed. Speaking of oops, I accidentally posted an essay that I had published already, so I quickly deleted it. That is why you clicked on my link and got nada! That blank space may be the best note I ever wrote….

If I remember my Jung being pregnant can mean something new is trying to be born from your unconscious. If you have the time and inclination you could spend some time meditating on those images. You could also draw them or talk to those unborn. (Active Imagination)
I shall do that. Thanks, Dennis.
Good morning Vicki,
There you go again, tapping into my current state of mind! Lol😊. “Cast all your cares upon Him and He will sustain you. He will not let the righteous fall.” A Bible verse mantra. I lay in bed last night talking to God about the sad and scary issues that are plaguing two of my children and thus myself (not to mention my preoccupation with my health) and at the end of my pleadings, I just said out loud, “God, could you think about all of this for me? I just can’t think about it anymore.” Whew, what a relief. I had been trapped in my own “think trap”. Good one Vernon Howard👍. The problems i have been worrying about are still there, but I know the universe has it’s plans. My part is to trust.
I don’t quite remember your reference to your pregnancy dreams, but pregnant may refer to growing and nurturing a soul….your own soul. No longer a (soul) seeker, but a (soul) finder and keeper. Perhaps?
I’m happy to stick with you, even if you are a trip! Aren’t we all? And we are all ON a long strange trip indeed😊.
Hope your new pill working for you.
Peace,
Tami
I like that. “Growing and nurturing your own soul.” Never too late to do more of that, eh?
