Consciousness is the Greatest Gift

Consciousness is the greatest gift that mankind was ever given. It takes a lifetime of inner work to see that this is the case, but it is worth waiting for. Jesus died conscious and in so doing, became the Christ (the Christed one).

We want badly to become so enlightened that people are drawn to our wisdom. I hate to enlighten you, but this is decidedly not the case. Instead you will be ostracized for your inner knowing if you try to betray it outwardly. Jesus died for this so-called sin, if you remember your spiritual lessons.

Vernon Howard spoke about the truth (Christ) in every talk he gave. As I grow older, I become richer in grace, but not necessarily any wiser. Perhaps a bit more willing to confess my sins to myself.

It doesn’t matter if you are bad or good; it does matter that you can summon up a witness to your thoughts, feelings and actions. The Christ within is ready, willing and able to forgive you ten thousand times over. This is true mercy and it is flowing like a river into your darkened heart.

We all have things we have done that have caused us deep and lasting shame. What a miracle it is to be able to forgive yourself, just by becoming conscious that this is so. We can go through our days witnessing our actual state and knowing that we are forgiven.

“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Never forget those seven words. They are your ticket to eternal forgiveness. You can forget forgiving others, for the whole world is within you and your consciousness goes before you to make the crooked places straight. All is well. All is well.

Now you have become a bearer of good news instead of a harbinger of bad news. Rejoice, for the prodigal son and daughter are forgiven. All is well, indeed.

  1. Hi Vicki,
Great words today. I’ve gone over a few things in my past that have caused much shame and regret, especially since my heart attack and NDE 5 months ago. There is one particular action that I can’t forgive myself for. I have prayed and meditated on it. I suppose I just have to truly embrace faith that the offended (who is now in heaven) has acknowledged my apology and with Christ’s help, my conscious self will forgive me. Horror and panic overwhelm me from time to time at the the thought of my past “sin” and the possibility of eternal unforiveness. I will keep trying to be open, awake and never forget the seven words.
Thank you for the reminder dear.

    1. You speak of the things that have caused much shame and regret. I have that regret as well. What we must do is to acknowledge these regrets consciously and then they will fall away when the time is right.
