I am not ignoring you, dear blog readers. This is such a tiny place in which we meet, a microbe of words saying that I am still here. I used to have a big fat juicy website and now it is reduced to this. But I no longer have the will to “make my website great again.” I am settling for letting it be for the few.
I am like a chicken with my head cut off these days. My neuropathy meds make me a bit shaky and forgetful. And my age doesn’t help any! But here I am, loyal to the few that actually value my wisdom.
Silence now while I type it out for you. “Never buy too much sour cream.” Yes, I bought a third container of it at the grocery this morning. I have lost all logic in this desperate drive to prepare for the corona virus. I shall have sour cream on my oatmeal, my potato chips and my soy burgers. And then I shall eat it straight from the container. Because I hate to waste anything.
All of us are just alike in our egotism. Spiritual teachers are no exception. Not a one of us actually knows what comes after bodily death or how we we will be judged. It is enough to make me want a fourth carton of sour cream.
I love to poke fun at spirituality because the popularizers always win. They win because they are photogenic and charismatic and most people fall for that.
Someone said that Mother Teresa had a way of elbowing people out of her photos and I totally believe that. Everyone on earth is flawed
We will get through this life one way or another, whether we have sour cream on it or not.

Take good care of yourself, dear Vicki. I’m having cave days myself after cataract surgery and thoroughly enjoying cutting back time with technology. Hope you feel better. We’ll come up with great sour cream recipes!
Many blessings to you from the few. Love, Ruth
Hi Vicki,
I am not sure what it is about your writing, but you always leave me feeling upbeat, perhaps, it’s the subtle humor. Whatever it is, thank you.😊
As for the ‘photogenic and charismatic’ crowd, they’re so darn serious.👎
Well, Lewis, I adore humor and wisdom and when you combine the two I am in heaven. Thank you!
