It is the first week in March, 2020, and one of my tires has a leak and so does my roof! I need the car back by Friday, so fingers crossed, I will take it in pretty soon. I also will schedule an appointment to get an estimate on a new roof.
My ten days of solitude were wonderful. I read library books and worked crossword puzzles. In between, I sat in silence during the day. At night, if there was something on TV that I liked, I watched it. I slept well and tried to watch what I ate. I watched some chocolates that should not have been in the house. Breaking news, they are not here anymore!
Jesus took breaks, as I recall. The Twelve must have gotten on his nerves now and then. You know that at least one of them was a compulsive talker. Giggle. If there is one thing I cannot deal with, it is that.
He also had to get his sandals retreaded and his robe taken to the cleaners. Because he only had one and it was threadbare.
I imagine he went fishing by himself and caught actual fish to eat instead of men to educate. The Twelve were fast-tracked, so he didn’t worry about getting any more disciples. Twelve were enough to drive him crazy. (He had not read Eckhart Tolle yet.)
But now I am back because I have nothing else to do. Aren’t you lucky? No, well, then, I will go away for another ten days. Maybe I will run into Jesus down by the river.
