A “New Me”

A “new me” is writing this; the old me has been reabsorbed into the new one. I have no idea what this means. Probably that since my neuropathy diagnosis, my life has been simplified a great deal. And I thought it already was!

I have spent a lot of time finding shoes for every time of day. For taking short walks, for wearing in the house, for bedtime wear. Feet with neuropathy can’t stand feeling bound. They get hot and feel like the shoes on them are too small.

I have ordered and returned more than a few pairs on amazon.

I also have to spend time doing physical therapy exercises at home. This instructor is great. I only have to see her once a week.

I spend time reading up on neuropathy and visiting FB support groups for it. Right now I am on gabapentin and it is working well for my nightly nerve pain. What I have not addressed is the fact that my diet is all wrong for someone with this particular condition.

Seems I should go gluten free, cut out sugar, white flour and caffeine and switch over to a healthier diet. This is proving to be my Achilles heel. It is gonna take time to wean me off of my favorite foods.

As far as my spiritual diet, it remains the same. One word said consciously, “I am.”

Deep bows of gratitude to those that ordered my latest ebook, “Only God Remains.” I hope you are enjoying it.

Love,
Vicki

  1. Best wishes to you and your new self with a healthy diet and new opportunities! Cutting out sugar is MAJOR and there are many great alternatives. Because of health problems a few years ago, I have changed my diet completely and feel so much better. You can do it, Vicki!

    1. Hi Tib,
I know you eat healthy; I mostly do, but sugar and white flour are things I always eat too much of. I am glad you are wishing me luck; I need it.
