I just posted a one-liner on my Facebook Page that said “Subtlety is the sign of wisdom.” Hmmmm. Why did I write that? I had just been sitting quietly in my chair realizing the difference between my personal False Self and my True Self. My True Self wants nothing to do with the social world or even the working world. It knows quietly and certainly that truth and falsehood cannot mix!
So I am old enough now to know better, but I still cannot always do better. Why? Because the impulse of the machine arises so fast that it drowns out the subtlety of the truth.
Some of you know that I am in touch with a Peruvian Shaman. I wrote him for some advice recently. He replied on his phone with much mistyping. (I imagine him out guiding a group around Machu Pichu). And this is what he writes (after I edited the typos out.)
“It is very important not to think about life or what we did. Just bring gratitude into yourself.”
I am very grateful to him and that I have a life today in which I can see the difference between thought and truth. TRUTH IS NOT A THOUGHT.
The Christ Consciousness is not a thought but the eternal realization that you already know the truth. It is sitting right there inside your heart. The heart cannot lie. But once you enter the world, lies are mandatory. That is how society functions, by lip service, kowtowing, etc. You dare not let a boss know that you know what he or she is like. But subtley and sincerely inside yourself, you know.
We all know. But it is so very hard to overcome the world. We have to let something besides the mind do it for us.
This is an important insight and I am grateful for it.
Onward and upward, because the world is deep in darkness. As Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men.”
