I renamed my website “Help for Higher Healing” when I realized the power that these words have. Four words that deliver you to a state of surrender. Ah, but there is a catch. You have to know that you need to “be delivered to a state of surrender.” And then you understand that your help comes from above the mind and not inside of it.

Inside your mind you just have a bunch of words, all centered around the idea that you can do something. But as The Work says, “Man cannot do.” Everything just happens. We have to hear this over and over and over again, all the while trying to work ourselves out of the latest jam we have gotten ourselves into. It would be funny if it didn’t hurt so much.

Vernon Howard’s sign over the door to his classroom read, “When the pain gets too bad, come back.”

There is a flame that burns on eternally and one day we discover that it cannot be extinguished. It is what perpetuates peace. It is what illuminates the darkness. It is that which lies above the mind. I try to write from both places.

If you write just about light, you become hypocritical. If you write just about darkness, you become cynical.

I am here writing. But not only writing. I am also here in silence.
