Are you lonely? If you are not, I suspect you are too embroiled in this world to see clearly. For all aspirants to truth must face the solitude that comes with the territory. You are making advances out beyond the reach of society and that is why you feel alone. You are in a minority of One. But it is also a majority of One. It is you, yourself and you!

To compound the loneliness, you realize that you cannot speak of what you are doing to people. They would not begin to understand. Instead they are engaged in the “push-me pull-me” of their egos trying to make a mark on a world that doesn’t exist.

What got you into this mess? And when will you be able to say you have made some progress? What if I said “The twelfth of never?” Because ego-death is not quite the same thing as making progress in this world.

Now for the encouraging part of this note. Conscious loneliness is solitude that serves awakening.

You are planting seeds that will blossom when the time is right. And the time is out of your hands.

You have committed yourself to the unseen way. A way of no earthly guarantees.

Is it worth it? Not to the ego, who measures everything by the yardstick of success.

Once you see something, you can’t unsee it. And you see the shallowness of society and you prefer the solitude of the search for truth.

Be comforted by the Self that you actually are.

Be assured by the ancient wisdom.

Be at home within.
