Vernon Howard said that at some point you have to give up your suffering. That is a lance that pierces your side for you cannot let go of it.
If you say you can, you are lying, and he also said that liars shall not enter the kingdom.
Consider this. God is asking you to give your pain to Him. He is not asking you to give your joy because you don’t have any!
He is asking you to give what you have.
This is not ironic.
I am filled with pain, not joy.
Pain that I cannot hand over easily.
But I can have a deep insight into what it takes to be born again.
To be born in a manger.
The star is directly over us in our journey back to nothingness.
Do not let the intellect talk you out of what you know to be true.
Do not let pride make you cling to your rights as a human being.
You have none except those given to you by God.
To fight for your human rights is to deny the higher ones.
You have the right to give up your suffering and just walk away from it.
Or maybe you will rise the third day.
But not for long.
