We are all playing hurt and doing our best not to show it. For to show it is to lose the worldly contest in which the ego is inevitably plunged. It is a contest that no one wins. Vernon Howard said this, “Lose and you win.” Actually, losing is all you can do. Again, the world does not reveal that secret to you. Only higher consciousness can do this and only when the time is right.

Donald Trump thinks he is winning. Corporations think they are winning. Churches think they are winning. That is because lying is the prize!

What happens when you encounter a true teacher or teaching? You fold!

Not willingly but unwillingly. You can’t do anything but that.

So why postpone the process?

Because as Vernon said, we are not through with the world yet. He used to say that as long as you want something from the world, you are going to get mauled.

And teachers maul your ego, so it is indeed hopeless. Your head went into the tiger’s mouth long ago.

I love the truth even when it hurts. But my ego hates it and that is a simple fact.

Everyone lives in their heads while claiming otherwise.

Anybody ready to just let go?

Oh, I see. You want to, but you can’t?

I can’t, either.

So what happens next?

I dunno. Do you?

Only if you are God and I suspect that you are.
