My mind cannot take care of me. Oh, it can take care of the details of my personal life. But in truth, it does not do that hot of a job! Instead, it sets me to worrying about endless details. I definitely tend to be obsessive-compulsive.
If my mind cannot take care of me, then who or what can? Because I have been suffering all of my life.
The small victories I manage to achieve are always hollow and at the expense of my spirit.
Jesus knew this. “Take no thought for the morrow.” But we continue to worry ourselves to death.
How do we come back to life?
There is only one answer to that vital question.
We don’t!
We must see clearly that the mind cannot bring anything to life.
After that, we ask ourselves, “Who knows that?”
Wait until the answer comes. It will be a feeling, not a group of fearful words.
Peace arrives when you have suffered enough to realize that you now have a choice to leave thought behind in favor of peace.
The world will never understand what I just wrote. You will not find it in slick magazines or expensive seminars.
You will find it in a place so lonely some call it Golgotha.
But this is exactly where you need to go.
Do not delay.
The time is now.
