I had the most wonderful birthday. Why? Because it was my favorite kind of day—ordinary! I asked Rob to take me to Home Depot to look at dishwashers. I chatted with 3 different employees there, telling them it was my birthday! They acted so happy, as if they were just waiting for me to come in. I bought a little thingie with wheels to put Pamela, the Ming Aralia, on.

After that, we went to Publix and picked up my cake and some other items. And then we had a fabulous early Mexican dinner at Zama’s in the West Village. I am posting our photos here. We will have cake tonight. I am cooking something simple for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
