A Note to My Readers

Thank you, Lord, for the people that take the time to read my words. They are not always perfect, but it is what I have to offer as a writer. Perhaps those that read do not understand how much I appreciate them, for I don’t tell them very often.

Thank you for the readers that have not abandoned me as I have gone though trial after trial and tried to make sense of them by writing them down. We all walk the same path back home to forgiveness.

Thank you for the readers that laugh with me when I can remember not to take things so heavily.

And thank you for the readers that comment and the ones that don’t. It doesn’t matter to me; all that matters is that I am given this blank space to fill up to my heart’s content.

I mix up Vernon Howard and Leonard Cohen and Rumi and funny jokes and one-liners and it all adds to my ability to carry on.

So thank you for the gift of your presence. Every writer needs every reader they can get.

Love,
Vicki

  2. Where are my emojis when I need them. Did you ever see the movie ‘League of their Own” with Tom Hanks? The famous line was “There’s no crying in baseball. THERE’S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL”. The same is true here. There is no quitting your purpose. There is no quitting in the role you are destined to play. You must carry on, my friend. God will find a way. As long as you are meant to write, you will continue to do so until the Good Lord decides times up. Love you my sweet, dearest friend.

  3. Your readers are not always perfect either, but we are there!

I had to resubscribe to your blog a couple of weeks ago because I was not receiving notices of new posts — and since I know you’re always writing, I knew something was up. Anyway, I have been receiving the email notices since then.

Your readers will be waiting for you, WordPress or no…
