Dear Friends,
This is Birthday Eve for me. What are my plans? To eat out with my son. He and I are long-time survivors and we dislike anything fancy. So we go someplace where you don’t have to dress up. I am thinking Mexican. Since Thanksgiving is the next day, I need to watch my calories. Birthday cake and pumpkin pie sound delicious, don’t they?
The blog is getting straightened out, hopefully. WordPress has a Beta program that I have been using and I got it thoroughly fouled up.
Here is where I am right now. I am turning 76 years old and am in good health. My son and I live together, so we give each other a soft place to fall. There are no relatives in town, so if one of us gets sick, the other one is the only caregiver. This time a year ago, I had just come out of the hospital and we did nothing for Thanksgiving or Christmas either one. (Not that we ever do. Last year I was just too sick to care.)
My friend Phil hosted a lovely vegetarian potluck and kirtan in his home last weekend. I reveled in that. Phil is the kind of guy that is able to read people effortlessly and lighten their load. I don’t know how he does it. He is a chiropractor and yoga teacher as well.
My inner work is my main interest in life. I write almost daily, as most of you know by now. I don’t pull punches; Vernon Howard taught me that. Why waste time when we don’t have that much?
My younger brother is quite ill and we are having a wonderful email exchange, remembering when we were young and still under the same roof.
Believe it or not, all of us on the planet are under the same roof. Rumi would have us revel in that. To take down our instruments and play the heck out of them. That is what I do here on the blog.

It would make very happy if you do!

Thank you, dear Cyndy….
Happy Birthday eve Vicki. Mexican food sounds so good to me right now! Pumpkin pie on the horizon, yum… much love to you and thank you so much for this blog.
