I am a human being. Yesterday I got my teeth cleaned. One of the onerous chores involved in such a situation! Lucky for me, I had no cavities. I have been going to this dentist for 36 years. I have been through way more doctors and hair stylists that that. He had a serious cancer some years ago. After that, he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro.
When I asked him if he had climbed anymore mountains, he said no, but that he had made an accomplishment. He motioned for the hygienist to bring him something. She came back with 2 photos. He is a very slight man and is 74 now. They were photos of him winning a bodybuilding competition.
“I don’t usually tell people about the bodybuilding,” he said shyly. The man drives a Porsche, is a skilled photographer and world traveler. He is also a very devoted family man. He has raised a dental dynasty. His twin boys became dentists and one of them married a woman who is a dentist. Now he has 5 grand kids.
After the dentist, we were close by a local taco shop that was featured in the paper recently. Oh, my goodness. They were so good. And cheap.
Today I did some grocery shopping and am now back home again, jiggety jig.
There is nothing spiritual about this note. The spiritual part happens between the lines. But you already know that.

Between the lines…that gave me a grin.
