Spiritual Hydration
I wrote a note called “Drinking While You Pour.” I want to explore this and it is a very mysterious sentence, “Learn to drink while you pour.” It can mean so many different things and meanings change all the time.
It is an unusually warm February morning and I slept late. A bit groggy, I sit here pondering what those words mean to me in the living moment. Ah…the first drink has already occurred while I am pouring these words for you, the reader.
The living moment, if we are in it consciously, offers us a draft of sweet nectar.
I continue to type, my fingers now dancing on the letters as if they had a pair of tap shoes on them.
I am drinking in the sensual delight of writing while I pour the words and see them change into pixels.
“Learn to drink while you pour.” Don’t live mechanically or you will die of thirst. Now there is a deeper meaning to the group of words. And we are all dying of thirst. There is simply no hydration to be found in the world. It goes round and round and nothing ever changes.
So now I see I do not have to expect this hydration to be exciting or sweet. I just have to pour my essence into the world consciously. That is it! No expectation of results. Just pour consciously instead of mechanically.
Does anyone catch my drift here?

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again. But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.”…
Yes, you are in the flow especially as your fingers are dancing across the keys! In that quiet, soft place away from the world!
“Don’t live mechanically or you will die of thirst.” No truer words spoken…
