A Shot in the Arm

So I’m at the pharmacy at the grocery picking up a prescription and turns out I can get a flu shot that comes with a $10 gift card there. Not having ever gotten a flu shot, I sign up and voila, it has been done. I also took a Benadryl when I got home, in case I had any reaction from it.

So far I’ve been to two groceries today. I also made an appointment at the Honda dealership to have my airbag replaced. I told Rob, “I’m checking things off my list now so you’ll be free to take a vacation! He has been very generous with his time since my eye surgery.

Other things are in order. I need to have deck repairs done to prevent water from leaking into the basement. Fall is finally in the air. After a long hot summer of rain, clouds and high humidity, we can see the end in sight. Buh bye, August.

I have fallen out of the habit of filling my mind with reading, working crossword puzzles and other things to occupy my left brain. It is amazing how clear the view is from “in here.” Of course, there is no “in here” as opposed to “out there.”

“Out there” is where people form opinions about you, like it or not. “Out there” is where you suffer from various and sundry attacks on your good name. Isn’t it interesting, then, that “in here” is where you feel the pain?

Love is the only solution; that is becoming clearer and clearer with my pair of new eyes. Hawk medicine is doing its job. All I have to do is receive everything as a gift.

I thank you, the reader, for meandering down this group of words. I send you love.
